Mavreen David graduated as a student of photography in 2000. She started her career on the business side of the industry as a studio manager, photographer’s rep and commercial shoot producer working in Vancouver and Toronto. Mavreen’s love of the arts inspired her to dabble in other side projects which included curating Provoke, a series of multi-media art shows, as well as collaborating on the traveling music documentary, Pedal to Steel. Stepping into the world of the music business was a natural transition and Mavreen spent 6 years as an artist manager, three of which were with the Nettwerk Music Group. She has worked along side Sarah McLachlan, Avril Lavigne, The Perishers, Melissa McClelland and Uh huh her to name a few. In August of 2009 Mavreen travelled to Uganda with World Vision Canada and documented a trip with artist ambassadors, Melissa McClelland and Luke Doucet. The seed was replanted and Mavreen has truly come full circle as she finds herself falling in love with the view through the lens yet again.
